Lyndal has been an Approved Arranger as designated by Sweet Adelines International since 2023. Prior to this, she was the coordinator and a graduate of the Southern Cross Region Arrangers’ Program for Region 34 of Sweet Adelines Australia.

Lyndal sings tenor with Sweet Adelines Australia’s Brindabella Chorus and has competed with them since 2005. Brindabella is an A- level chorus, currently (in 2026) the national champions. Lyndal also has 7 years’ quartet experience and 4 years as bass section co-leader.  She sings tenor but has also competed nationally singing baritone.

Prior to taking up a cappella singing, Lyndal performed as singer and dancer in more than 20 amateur musical theatre productions over 25 years.  She spent ten years singing with her husband in folk music band Hither and Yon (www.hither-and-yon.bandcamp.com), arranged many of their multi-voiced original songs and played backing violin, ukulele and percussion. She managed production of their three CDs and their published songbook. 

Lyndal is an associate member of Barbershop Harmony Australia and of the US Barbershop Harmony Society.
Lyndal’s music education includes formal lessons in piano, flute, violin and voice and she currently plays fiddle in various Canberra folk music sessions and for the Canberra Scottish Fiddlers.
